Please share... Urgent Blood Donors Needed

The IBTS has issued a Pre-Amber Alert due to critically low stocks of RhD Negative blood, especially O Negative.

If you're eligible, please support the blood donation clinic at Nenagh Scouts Hall on Sunday 11th October, 11:50am–3:10pm.

New donors are very welcome. Every donation helps protect vital hospital services and could save a life.

Tomorrow, 10th October 2026, is World Mental Health Day 2026! 💚🧠

Mental health is just as important as physical health. This World Mental Health Day, with the theme “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change,” let us recognize the importance of listening, understanding lived experiences, and fostering a compassionate and inclusive community where everyone feels heard, valued, and supported—at school, in the workplace, and in society.

Through compassion and open conservations, we can break the stigma surrounding mental health, strengthen resilience, and inspire meaningful change.

Let's remind one another that no one has to face life's challenges alone.

Your voice matters. Your story matters. YOU MATTER. 💚

Some of our First Year students proudly represented St. Joseph's CBS Nenagh for the first time on Tuesday at Coolmore Morris Park in Thurles.

It was a great day of hurling, with impressive wins over High School Clonmel and Cashel, along with a narrow one-point defeat to Thurles CBS.

Well done to all the lads on a fantastic effort! The team now looks forward to Round 2 of the blitz next Monday. 🏑👏

Many thanks to our first year hurling coaches Ms. Ellen Brennan, Ms. Stephanie Kenny and Ms. Mary Reidy who volunteer their time and expertise to develop the students hurling skills and promote a grá for hurling amongst our first year students.

On Tuesday two members of our Student Council, Cian Hanrahan and Micheál Grace travelled to Waterford accompanied by Religious Education teacher Mr. John Flannery to participate in a celebration marking the 30th anniversary of the beatification of Blessed Edmund Rice.

The event took place in the Edmund Rice Chapel at Mount Sion CBS, where Edmund Rice’s educational journey began and was attended by Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan.

Singing was provided by the Mount Sion Choir and contributions were made by a variety of schools from the Waterford Lismore Diocese. The theme of the celebration was Faith, Legacy and Community.

It was a fitting and heartfelt tribute to the enduring legacy of Blessed Edmund Rice and the values of compassion, inclusion, justice and service that continue to inspire Christian Brothers schools and communities everyday.

A wonderful day of faith, community and celebration — and a proud reminder that Blessed Edmund’s legacy continues to live on through our young people.

Many thanks to Siobhán O'Leary of Yoga Nenagh who works with our 6th year students at St. Joseph's CBS Nenagh.

6th years have a weekly yoga class which continues throughout the year as part of a rotation during their allocated PE class.

Their Mindfulness discussion today was based around acceptance…. Turning the attention from ‘ he annoys me’ to ‘I’m annoyed or triggered by him’ is powerful and brings the responsibility back to self.

Stretching and strengthening exercises took place before finishing with a long relaxation. 🧘🏻‍♂️

Congratulations to all our students who received their Junior Cycle results today!

As a school community, we are absolutely thrilled for our students as they celebrate the results of their hard work, dedication and determination. Their commitment and perseverance have truly paid off and they should be incredibly proud of all they have achieved. 👏

They are a wonderful year group who have contributed so much to our school community, and we are delighted to see them reach this important milestone💙💛

We are so proud of you all. A huge well done to you and your families on this achievement.

A special thank you to all our dedicated staff who helped our students over the past three years and their Year Heads Mr. John Flannery and Ms. Bríd Gleeson.
