🎓 CAO AVAILABLE PLACES OPEN TOMORROW 🎓

If you didn’t receive the CAO offer you were hoping for, or you’re still looking for a course option, Available Places could be worth exploring💡

📅 Opens: Thursday 27th August
⏰ 12 noon

Available Places are courses where vacancies remain after the main offer rounds and waiting lists have been exhausted. New courses and vacancies can also be added!

👉 You can apply for an Available Place course if you meet the normal minimum entry requirements for that course. Previous points requirements should not be used when considering an Available Places course.

💻 Existing CAO applicants can apply through their CAO account, while new applicants can also apply through the Available Places facility. A fee of €50 applies to new applicants; it is free for existing applicants.

📌 Important: Courses can be added or removed as institutions update their vacancies, so keep checking the list and read the course requirements carefully.

There are still options and pathways available, don’t give up if your first plan hasn’t worked out! 💪

Tomorrow is a big day for all our new first year students and their families. The management and staff of St. Joseph’s CBS Secondary School in Nenagh are looking forward to meeting and welcoming you all.

Aim to arrive from 8.45am. All students should be in full school uniform and are asked to gather in the back yard area in front of the hurling wall where they will meet their year heads, Ms. Healy and Ms. O'Reilly, and class tutors and will be divided into their six mixed ability class groups. The students will receive their all-important school journal and timetable for the year ahead.

The students will then be taken into the main school building. They will get a tour of the school, an introduction to the school's online platform of Microsoft Teams and a wellbeing check-in.

Students will only need to bring in a pencil case and a notebook.

Students will be treated to a snack in the canteen to mark their first day at St. Joseph's CBS Nenagh.

We are delighted that our Sixth Year Buddies will be coming in to speak to the First Years on Monday and Tuesday of next week. The Buddies have proven great in helping our new First Years settle into school life.

Nerves are normal, but don’t worry, you will settle in quickly and will make lots of new friends.

Induction is from 9.00am to 12.20pm. 😊
