And just like that the school year has come to an end! 🎊What a year it has been! Thank you to everyone - from the children to their parents, from the Board of Management to the Parents Association, from the permanent staff to the external teachers, everyone had played their part in a fantastic year! 🌟 Thank you all so much for the fun and support all year! Everyone here in Scoil Lua Naofa really enjoyed the year! We will see you all back here bright and early on Wednesday 26th August 2026! For now enjoy the well deserved Summer break! ☀️

Yesterday we said a fond farewell to our four fantastic 6th class pupils! 🌟 These four have been a huge part of our school community since they joined us and we will all miss the fun and laughter they brought! We wish them the very best of luck in the next step of their journey and we hope they know they are welcome back at any time! Well done and congratulations to you all 🎉🎊🌟

The junior room has been busy in recent weeks looking after some strawberry plants that Tadhg- one of our Junior Infants brought to school! 🍓 Today some of them were ripe enough to taste and what better way to taste them than along side Muinteoir Maeve’s birthday cake! 🎂 They really were yummy! 🚨SAVE THE DATE - Wednesday 17th June 🚨
On Wednesday the 17th of June we will have a day packed with fun activities for all the children (and parents!!!)

At 9.30am the children will undertake their 2mile sponsored walk from the school which is being organised by our wonderful Parents Association! The children are busy training and fundraising and would love your support! 🚶🚶‍♀️Sponsorship cards have gone home with the children. On return to the school the Parents Association will have a medal presentation for all participants and some yummy treats!

At 10.45am we will have our school presentation for different awards and achievements by our students this year- from community games winner to rockstar readers- it promises to be an eventful occasion! 🌟

At 11am we celebrate our 6th class whose journey in primary school is coming to an end! 🏁 There will be some light refreshments for all.

At 11.30am we will take part in some fun sports day games and activities with the focus on participation! We might even have a parents section if anyone is brave enough to take part!!

At 1.00pm we will have our Pizza Party 🍕 The children have worked hard all year and deserve the treat!

The rest of the afternoon will be some well deserved chill and some more games if we still have energy to burn! 🔥

We would like to invite all parents and members of our school community to what should be a fun filled day! Feel free to drop in for any of the above activities or spend the day with us! I’m sure the children might even share a slice or two of pizza! 😉
