Irish Road Victims Association (IRVA)
‘Together, we work to provide support, raise awareness, and advocate for meaningful change’
IRVA is the national charity for road crash victims in Ireland. They provide free information and support to all those impacted, nationwide.
As a non-governmental organisation, IRVA offers compassionate, practical support to individuals who have been bereaved or injured as a result of road traffic collisions and work to ensure their experiences are heard and respected.
Their mission is not only to help victims and families through the aftermath of tragedy but also to promote road safety and reduce the risk of further loss on our roads.
Through advocacy, awareness, and engagement with policymakers and key stakeholders, IRVA promotes safer roads throughout Ireland while helping to shape road safety policy and practice so that lessons from tragedy lead to meaningful change.
They provide free bereavement counselling or grief coaching as well as legal guidance to help families and those seriously injured to navigate the complex processes that follow a serious incident. Their monthly online support groups, led by a qualified facilitator, offer a safe and understanding space for connection and healing.
IRVA’S work centers on six key focus areas driving real impact.
• Prevent Road Deaths and Serious Injuries
• Improve Collision Investigations
• Strengthen Victim Support Services
• Promote Transparency in Justice
• Ensure Timely and Accurate Information
• Collaborate for Lasting Change
Every year in Ireland, countless lives are lost or forever changed by road traffic collisions. Behind each statistic is a grieving family, a survivor facing lifelong challenges, and a community left devastated. IRVA, offer free emotional and practical support, campaign for safer roads, and advocate for justice on behalf of victims and their families.
But they cannot do this alone. Donations from the public enables IRVA to continue this vital work. Thank you for your Donations
