The USKFI held another successful squad session held this morning at the Corduff dojo led by assistant coach Sensei R. Hoban.

After a vigorous warmup, emphasis was on team kata with a focus on timing, speed, coordination, mobility, power and strength, covering the key elements to successful team performance.

Members were shown practical solutions to enhancing speed, agility timing and balance. A common training strategy is for the team to adjust its overall pace to the member with the slowest technical ex*****on. This ensures power and clean form aren't sacrificed for artificial speed, fostering a more patient and unified rhythm.

Kumite was next using a first to score scenario, using combinations to maximum effect. The session session finished with favourite individual kata.

Well done to all squad members and thanks to Sensei Hoban for an excellent session.

Well done to all USKFI Squad members who trained on Saturday at our latest squad training session.

Our squad is continuing to develop in both kata and kumite, and the progress is truly impressive! The team’s attitude and dedication to their training is commendable, and it’s clear that all the hard work is paying off. 💥

With the competition season in full swing and championships both home soil and away almost every few weeks, the team is right in form. Their superb performances and results at the most recent events speak volumes about their commitment and preparation. 👏🏆

As we head into the final stages of the season, we’re excited to see how far they will go, especially with the European Championships coming up in November. It’s an exciting time for the squad, and we can’t wait to see the continued progress!

A massive thank you to Head Squad Coach Sensei David Royle and Assistant Coach Sensei Rhonda Hoban for providing another superb session for the team. Your guidance and leadership are invaluable! 🙏💪
