of special educational needs. In 2007, I studied for a Post Graduate Higher Diploma in Resource and Learning Support at the College of Education, Rathmines. Since then I have worked extensively as a resource and learning support teacher, supporting students of all ages with special education needs. I have also worked at associate level for the Special Education Support Service, Department of Education and Skills. I have delivered in-service training to both teachers and principals in schools and education centres across Ireland. I have conducted numerous individual school visits in order to increase teachers' understanding of students with identified special educational needs. Through this work, I have developed support materials and resources for use in the classroom and beyond. Many of these support materials have been utilised in schools across Ireland.
