There have been all kinds of revolutions across the years but now stand by for a DJ revolution. DJ? Somewhere along the line the radio industry decided to junk that title and along came ‘The Presenter’. And if the first radio revolution could be deemed the one in the UK headlined by Radio Caroline, then UNITED DJs will register as the second radio revolution, this time entertaining an enormous global audience.
100 years ago Charlie Chaplin and his actor friends reacted against the Hollywood status quo in launching UNITED ARTISTS. In the 60’s Ronan O’Rahilly launched Radio Caroline which caused the British Government to bring in a new law The Marine Offences and Broadcasting Act’. Radio Caroline was the only pirate ship to continue and a ship broadcasting under her name continues to fly the flag in England. ‘The Boat that Rocked” (in the USA ”Pirate Radio”) movie was focused on this ship and so our cheeky art work here pays tribute to this ship and one of the greatest adventures DJs ever embarked upon.
We can now list the DJs who will soon be playing and saying what they like on UNITED DJs as streaming comes of age….

Many of our team were RADIO LUXEMBOURG stalwarts and only they have any moral right to work under the strapline STATION OF THE STARS taking the legend that was 208 ever forward. We use this branding with full and exclusive permission from RTL and we are the only radio channel with that right.
