- Our Class of 2026 🥳🎓

- We will be celebrating (for those moving to Primary School) our Class of 2026 graduation Evening this Friday 12th June & we will be doing a ‘lap of honour’ around the village, escorted by surprise community member. Apologies in advance for the noise of cheers, laughter & beep beeps 🤣

Expected times for ‘drive around village’ will be approximately- 8pm.

The children & families would love if you could come out & cheer them on as they pass by.

KMS Pond 💦💧🌱

Today the construction of our schools first wildlife pond was well underway. Working together the children helped Pa**ie to measure the space and mark the shape we needed. Everyone took turns helping to dig the hole. The soil was tougher than we expected, it took all our strength to make the hole as big as we needed 🪴

Teacher Laura showed us how to line the pond to stop any leaks and explained to us what plants are important to help keep the water clean, Laura had a water lily ready to root in the pond, we are also going to add water mint as this is also know to help keep the water clean!

We added lots of stones, bricks and carefully filled the pond with water. Over the next few days we can’t wait to watch and see if the pond attracts some birds and insects to our garden. We might even be lucky enough to get some frogs 🐸

Building our pond has created a bigger understanding about nature and showed us what we can achieve when we work together.

That’s a wrap for 2025. Give it up for this amazing team of educators. I can’t describe how grateful I am to have such an amazing team who go above & beyond their roles and responsibilities and continue to support our KMS children & families in so many ways. Some say you don’t get to pick your family but I’m blessed to have these beautiful people as my work family 💚💛It’s been a special year at KMS with new babies, graduations & the recent wedding for our EY Manager 🤍 Merry Christmas & a very Happy and Healthy 2026

✨ KMS Grand Brunch ✨

Today we held our KMS Grand Brunch on the patio, where we lined all the tables end-to-end and decorated them with natural materials from our new wildflower garden patch. The children enjoyed choosing from a delicious array of foods, including fresh fruit, crackers, hummus, you name it!

It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to sit together, with children from both Scoil Glas and Scoil Buí sharing stories, laughter, and even trying new foods.

This special gathering was inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, celebrating community, nature, and the joy of sharing meals together 🌿🌸🍓

We can’t believe that tomorrow is our last day! It feels like just yesterday we were starting this journey, and now we’re looking back on all the hard work, laughter, learning, and special moments we’ve shared over the past year 🥹

We’re so proud of everything the children have achieved and so grateful for all the support from our wonderful families and community. Here’s to making our final day together one to remember! 🌟✨

What a team - we welcomed new educators in September; Abigail, Laura O, Shaydeen & student Megan who joined Laura H, Laura D, Eimear, Chelsea, Leona, Pa**ie (behind the camera 😎) & Anna. Rachael welcomed her new baby Hugo and Laura H is counting the weeks to her new baby arriving. We will also be welcoming Katie back to the Team for 2025. So a busy year ahead filled with play, fun, friendships & relationships, learning, being & becoming.
