Rainbows Group - Support for Parental Bereavement / Family Separation.
Dear Parent / Guardian,
Please find attached information on our newly launched Rainbows Ireland support.
If you are interested in your daughter being part of a 9 week support, please return the 'Expression of Interest' form to [email protected] ONLY.
If you cannot manage to return the form itself, email the answers to each question asked.
Please note that the sessions may be run directly after school on Wednesdays (1 hour session).
Replying to [email protected] is not a confirmation of getting a place on a 9 week support.
We will certainly do our very best.
Students receiving a place will need to sign-up for the full 9 weeks (bar illness / unavoidable absence).
This is not counselling but an additional support that we wish to offer.
Only when we see how many are interested, their age and their choice of group (parental bereavement / parental separation), will we be able to plan accordingly. Rainbows Ireland have particular protocols that we must follow.
If you plan on replying, please do so by Tuesday 22nd September 2026.
The expression of interest will remain open after this point, but in order to get the first group organised, we are looking for a speedy reply.
Many thanks.
We look forward to hearing from those of you who are interested.
Kind regards,
Rainbows Team
(messages to [email protected] only please)

Head Girl and Deputy Head Girls 2026-2027
Hi, my name is Sophia Gammell and I am proud to be the Head Girl of Loreto St. Michael’s Navan 2026/2027. While having the honour of being Head Girl, I aspire to represent my school with pride and be a responsible and welcoming leader. I hope to endorse the Loreto values of Truth, Sincerity, Freedom, Justice and Joy as well as promote school spirit and inclusivity. Throughout my role as a student leader, I aim to represent the student body adequately, while creating positive and long lasting contributions to the school. I am excited for what the year has in store and hope to carry the honour I feel into every challenge and opportunity I encounter this year.
Hi I’m Katelyn McKeague and I am honoured to be Deputy Head Girl of St Michael’s Loreto Navan. I aspired to become Deputy Head Girl to represent my peers and make a positive contribution to the Loreto community. I hope to be an approachable and responsible leader who listens to and represents the student body. I aim to promote inclusivity, school spirit and a strong sense of community. I hope to encourage positive change and create opportunities for students to become more involved. Most importantly, I hope to make a meaningful and lasting contribution to Loreto.
Hi,my name is Brónagh Harmon and I am honoured to be the 2026/2027 Deputy Head Girl of Loreto St.Michael's. I have always envisioned myself in this position, hoping to make positive contributions to my school community. In my role as a Student Leader, my aims are to help every student feel welcome, represent my school with pride and encourage others to be the best versions of themselves. I look forward to the year ahead and aspire to carry the gratitude and privilege that I feel into every challenge I face and embrace every opportunity that this school year brings.
Hi, my name is Zaina Sohail. Being elected Deputy Head Girl at Loreto this year is something I'm really proud of and grateful for. It’s a role that means a lot to me. We help support the Head Girl and the wider student leadership team and get involved in supporting younger students, organising school events such as Mission Week, promoting Peace & Justice, helping with Bullying Awareness Week. This year I will aim to lead with Sincerity, Justice, Truth, Freedom and Joy listening to others, being someone students can approach and helping make our school a welcoming and positive place. These values are at the heart of Loreto and guide how we treat and support one another. I'm really looking forward to this and am very grateful for this role.

Growing a Love of Reading and Making Connections!
This week, our TY students returned to St Anne's Primary School to begin this year's Reading Buddy Programme. It was wonderful to see the TYs getting to know their Fifth Class buddies, sharing stories and enjoying time together reading and chatting about novels they are currently enjoying.
This year, every single TY student will have the opportunity to become a Reading Buddy, working with pupils across St Anne's from Junior Infants right through to Sixth Class.
This is a fantastic opportunity for pupils from both Loreto schools to share their love of reading and build meaningful connections.

Meath Student Enterprise Idea Generation Day
Today our TY students kickstarted their Student Enterprise journey by attending the Meath Student Enterprise Idea Generation Day in the Swift Centre in Trim. It was a day filled with innovation, creativity, collaboration and brilliant business ideas. The girls are ready to form their Mini Company groups and continue developing their ideas to prepare for the Student Enterprise Programme and our annual TY Christmas Fair in December. Keep an eye out for the emerging businesses over the next few weeks. Thank you to the Mini Company teachers who accompanied the TYs today and for supporting each Mini Company in becoming entrepreneurs!
