St. Farnan's Post Primary School managed by Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board (KWETB) has served the community since September 1941.

Farnan's Post-Primary School is committed to remaining relevant in what is undoubtedly a rapidly changing educational environment, while retaining a tradition within which the personal development of students is promoted as a central element in all activities. The catchment includes Prosperous itself, as well as the surrounding districts such as Allenwood, Coill Dubh, Allen, Kilmeague, Staplestown, Robertstown, Donadea and Timahoe.

Our Education Bursary Schemes 2026 are now open for applications!

Deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday, 18 September 2026.

These bursaries are designed to support students from County Kildare who may face significant barriers in accessing third-level education.

The following bursaries are available:

•The William G. Carroll Bursary (Community)
•The Kildare Education Bursary for People with Disabilities
•The Kildare County Council Memorial Bursary for DEIS School Students

We're delighted to announce that applications for the Disney Cultural Exchange Program - Summer 2027 will be opening on Monday June 1st! 🫶🇬🇧🇮🇪

The Cultural Exchange Program allows students studying in the United Kingdom and Ireland to spend their summer break from university working at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, Florida, experiencing Disney Magic first-hand 🏰

Participants will have the opportunity to interact and share their culture with guests from the United States and worldwide, learn essential business philosophies, and make lifelong friends and will work in roles such as Attractions and Operations, Merchandise, Quick Service/Full Service Food and Beverage, Lifeguarding and Custodial ☀️

Applications will open Monday June 1, 2026 at 1pm UK Time.
Applications will close on June 30, 2026 at 5pm UK Time.

In order to be considered for this program, applicants must meet ALL of the criteria listed on our website. We currently only recruit for students from the United Kingdom and Ireland for the Disney Cultural Exchange Program.
