Meet Dr Rebecca Wood at the AsIAm Conference!

We’re delighted to be heading to the AsIAm Conference & Expo 2026 on Saturday, 12 September and we’re looking forward to seeing some fantastic speakers along the way.

One of the keynote speakers is Dr Rebecca Wood, Senior Lecturer in Inclusive Education at the University of Glasgow, researcher and author with a focus on autistic children, teachers and communication.

Every euro raised will directly support Down Syndrome Ireland’s services nationwide, helping people with Down syndrome reach their potential and access support at every stage of life.

Down Syndrome Ireland was founded in 1971 to provide support and services to people with Down syndrome and their families. With 25 branches nationwide, Down Syndrome Ireland provides all-through life supports to people with Down syndrome and their families
across Ireland. They work across health, speech and language, early years development, education and adult education and independence that enhance the lives of thousands of children and adults with Down syndrome across the country.
