It is with great sadness that Multyfarnham GAA learned of the passing of Sheila Leavey (née Nugent), Soho House, Multyfarnham and formerly of Carnaross, Co. Meath.
Sheila was a much-loved grandmother to our players Aoife (U14), Max (U16) and Jack (Intermediate), while her granddaughter Zoe also played with the club in the past. The Leavey family have a long association with Multyfarnham GAA, with Sheila’s husband Frank and sons David, Stephen and Dan all having played with the club over the years.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Sheila’s husband Frank; her children David, Stephen, Liz and Dan; her cherished grandchildren Jack, Abbi, Zoe, Max and Aoife; daughters-in-law Una and Geraldine; sisters Kitty and Rose; brother Tom; and her nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends.
Sheila will repose at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home, Mullingar (N91 K660) on Friday, 28th August from 4.30pm to 6.00pm, followed by removal to the Church of St Patrick, Leney, Multyfarnham (N91 NN24), arriving at 6.30pm.
Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday at 11.00am, followed by burial in St Peter’s The Rock Cemetery.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Leavey family and all who mourn Sheila at this very sad time.
