For most people, having a second language (or even third or fourth!) provides practical advantages. Usually, it opens doors to career opportunities and building a wider professional network. But there are other advantages to be enjoyed too.

If language is primarily communication (which it is), then it also opens doors to more information, culture, experiences, stories and view points.

As a result, doors to new perspectives, different insights are opened too - and with them, a doorway to wisdom.
