Drilling Diddly Heels of a Sunday! 💪🏻💪🏻

Sure what else would ya be at?! 😅🤷🏻‍♂️😅

Even a move or trick that seems so simple actually has so many different layers of complexity. 🧅🧅🧅

How many beats is it? What does each beat actually look like? What’s the other leg doing? Etc etc. That’s what makes Irish dancing so bloody hard and also so interesting. I always say Irish Dancing is as intellectually stimulating as it is physically demanding, which is one of my favourite things about it! 🕺🏻🙌🏻💃🏻

Dancers have to be so clever in order to pull all of this off because they’re literally being asked to do a million different things at the same time, all while trying to make it look easy, perform and smile. 🤯👏🏻🤓

Dedication and hard work always pay off in the end! 💯💪🏻

We’ve been drilling and practicing all four of the primary Bun Grád dances (Ríl, Port Luascach, Port Singil agus Port Éadrom) and the improvement is incredible! 😱🤯🤩

Feis Season starts in September - I think we’ll be well ready! 😏👏🏻

The older girls have been helping out with our beginner camp and decided that the newbies needed to get a head start on their Biddly Bumps! 😅🤪😂

They’re having great craic to be fair and it’s so lovely to see them helping the smaller ones. 💯🙏🏻❤️

I’m fairly certain the quote “it takes a village” wasn’t referencing Irish Dancing, but no truer words were ever spoken! 👯‍♀️👯‍♂️👯‍♀️

Summer Camp is well in full swing with our Léim Train warm up! 😅💃🏻🕺🏻

It’s so lovely to see the brand new beginners trying it out, the buns improving and our Tús and Árd dancers helping demonstrate how it’s done along the way!

I believe in these words with all my heart. Dancing is such an amazing gift to the mind, body and soul, but it’s a hard game and a long road, just like any other craft or sport. It’s only ever worth it if you love it. ❤️

It’s my goal as a teacher to ensure that they do from the very first time they point their toe. 🙏🏻

This little one only started a few weeks ago and is well on her way to becoming a beautiful dancer! 🤩💯😍
