5th and 6th class have been learning all about space and the solar system. They have been exploring EIRSAT-1 which was Ireland’s first satellite and space mission. This satellite completed its mission one year ago this month. The name and location of our school was sent from the spacecraft to earth on the 31st of July 2025 at 12:04:21 UTC. Our school received a special certificate to commemorate becoming part of Ireland’s space heritage from University College Dublin! They had great fun creating full-size models of Ireland’s first satellite EIRSAT-1.
