MASSIVE congratulations to the Plastic Outta the Park team past and present for receiving an award from the UK!!! Our plastic free schools campaign is now in its 8th year, with new TY’s taking over the project each year. It was amazing that the work we have done was recognized abroad and we were thrilled to collect the award yesterday. A big thank you to Surfers Against Sewage for nominating us and for the stunning awards. 🌍

France The First To Introduce Microfibre Filters On Washing Machines As of January 2025, all new washing machines in France will have to include a filter to stop synthetic clothes from polluting our waterways.

Newpark was Ireland’s FIRST single use plastic free school. This was a student led campaign that kick started 44 other schools to go plastic free. We are super proud of our school and our students for making this happen. Small actions can make big differences 🐳 Every year we do a bin audit and we have measured that we save a whopping 16,000 plastic bottles entering the environment every year 🌊🐠🐬 .ie
