Monaghan Youthreach

On Thursday March 21st Youthreach learners attended the FET Forum in Cavan Crystal Hotel, hosted by the CMETB. The event welcomed learners from all Youthreach and further education centres of Monaghan and Cavan. Everyone agreed that it was a great opportunity for learners to speak about their experiences in further education, and future plans. It was also nice meeting students from other centres, and the mood was very positive after the event. Thanks to CMETB for facilitating the event, which was the third since May 2023.

In December, Monaghan Youthreach held a Hot Chocolate and Muffin event as part of the CMETB Wellbeing Champions initiative. Just the thing to ward off the cold weather were having!

On Thursday December 21st, staff and students had their annual Christmas Lunch. Special thanks to everyone for taking part and to those who prepared the delicious food supplied by Supervalu, Flemings. Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous, successful New Year.☃️❄️🎊🎁🌈✨

Monaghan Youthreach celebrated Graduation Day 2023 on Friday, November 17th. Dr. Fiona Mc Grath, Chief Executive of CMETB, and Joe Mc Grath, Chairman of the CMETB FET Board spoke and presented students with QQI Level 3 and 4 awards. Carol Kelly, CMETB Adult Education Officer and Emmeline O' Hare, Co- Ordinator of the Monaghan Institute Access Programme also attended. Thanks to Niall Mc Cann, Centre Manager and all staff and students who made the day memorable, and thanks also to those who gave excellent presentations.. We wish this year's graduates, now on the Access Programme, the very best of luck with their future studies. Well done.

CMETB Further and Adult Education champions wellbeing in each of it's centres. Monaghan Youthreach introduces regular fruit smoothie sessions to boost healthy eating. Getting your 5 portions of fruit and veg a day is now scientifically proven to be linked to better mental health.
