My friend and neighbour Brian McAuliffe has organised a live-streamed fundraiser this coming Saturday evening starting at 9pm for MSF (Médecins Sans Frontières) ... a.k.a. Doctors without Borders. MSF, as you probably all know, operate in war zones all over the world and don't take sides - they treat whoever needs to be treated as best they can.
For the fundraiser, Brian has rounded up about 15 or 20 mainly locals including me to sing one or two songs each in Kate O'Reilly's pub in Clarecastle, County Clare . The songs are generally songs based on the theme of peace, anti-war, hope etc. Brian is hoping to raise €5000 and has already raised over €500 in advance of the event.

Most, if not all of the performers are not accustomed to singing solo in front of a crowd and will therefore be somewhat out of their comfort zone doing this. However, when Brian asked we all agreed to do it as we all felt it was for a very worthwhile cause and represented a positive move in a time where we are news-fed a lot of negative news stories.
