Moate Action Group

Moate Action Group The Moate Action Group is a voluntary organisation aimed at improving Moate town. The vision of the group is:
"To enhance Moate for the benefit of all."

Moate Action Group (MAG) was set up to address economic, social and environmental issues facing the town and it's hinterland in the current economic climate. It is a representative organisation working for the good of the community by making the town a better place in which to live and a more attractive place to visit. The long term objective to make Moate one of the best small towns in Ireland in

which to live, work, visit and do business in. It is also a committee, established with the objective of identifying suitable projects to enhance the town by initially commissioning a feasibility study. It liaises with all the communities and groups in the town in a spirit of cooperation and collaboration to improve Moate for the benefit of all. It works closely with all of the statutory agencies including the Council to attract as much local investment as possible. Local Councillors and a Director of Service from Westmeath Co. Council sit on the committee. The group is supported by sub committees dealing with planning, finance and community administration.
