Braveheart Shotokan Karate Clubs Japanese karate at its best. Come train under Sensei Thomas All the clubs in the BSKC are members of the JKS (Japan Karate Shotorenmei).

Appealing to men, women and children of all ages, Karate provides a safe and healthy means of learning to protect oneself. Shown to improve fitness, flexibility, agility, confidence and self-awareness, Karate is a combination of kicking, punching, striking and blocking techniques. Karate is universally recognised as one of the most comprehensive of all martial arts and is ideally suited to combat

the stresses of modern living. The JKS is a worldwide governing body of the Shotokan style of Karate with affiliated branches in over 60 countries. The JKS holds regular technical seminars and international championships.

A huge well done to our BSKC students who travelled to Mullingar on Saturday 18th April to compete in the Midland Open 2026.
Aoife, Ruari, Daniel, Cormac, Sofia, Eimhin, and Hannah all did the club proud.
