Our monthly assembly was led by the Infants on this occasion and they got an opportunity to introduce themselves to the older classes. It was also a lovely opportunity to acknowledge recent achievements in extra - curricular pursuits. Well done everyone !

Tailteann Games victory for Duffy

Three of Tullamore Harriers juvenile squad travelled to Carlow on Saturday to compete in the Tailteann Games on the Leinster squad. Conditions were perfect with the sun shining and little or no wind.
After biding her time in the early stages of the 1500m steeplechase Ally Duffy unleashed a strong sprint and finished a clear winner in 4:59.77 a new PB. Rachel Keaney also had a great race in the steeplechase. She led out the race in the early stages covering the first 400m in 76 seconds and fought all the way to the finish line to finish a creditable fifth place.
The early pace in the 1500m was brutal with Westport's Freya Renton pushing hard from the starters gun. Adelyn Walsh competed bravely and was among the chasing pack. As the race wore on she battled hard and finished in eight place gaining valuable points for the Leinster in the interprovincial competition.
Well done girls.
