✨ Congratulations to our LCA Class of 2026! ✨

We are incredibly proud of our Leaving Certificate Applied Class of 2026 on their exceptional results!

An outstanding 88% of the class achieved a Distinction in their final grade, with each of these students achieving over 90% across their coursework and examinations. 👏

These exceptional results are a wonderful reflection of the hard work, commitment and determination shown by our students throughout their two years.

A huge congratulations to all our LCA students, and sincere thanks to their teachers, SNAs, families and everyone who supported them along the way. 👏

🔨 Leaving Certificate Construction Projects – Class of 2026

What a fantastic collection of projects from our Class of 2026!

Students had free rein over the research, design and development of their projects, bringing their own ideas to life with creativity and skill.

A huge well done to all our students, and to Mr Walsh and Mr Meade for their guidance and support throughout the process.

We’re particularly delighted to see that the hard work paid off, with a number of H1 grades achieved in Construction Studies in this year’s Leaving Certificate results. 🎉

🌟 First Year Induction – Day 2 🌟

Another great day for our first years!

Students set up their CETB Microsoft accounts, explored the suite of apps, and enjoyed spinning the wheel to find out which House in our house merit system they would join!

The day finished with a PE session for the year group.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday!

🌟 New School Year 🌟

The 2026/2027 school year officially kicks off tomorrow as we meet our new 1st year students in the morning! They will complete a two day induction programme to ensure their smooth transition from primary to secondary school.

As part of the induction programme we would like to invite the parents/guardian(s) of our 1st Year students to come along at 9.00am for a cup of tea/coffee and informal meet and greet with staff.

We look forward to another fantastic year with all our students. 🙌🏻

🎓✨ Celebrating the Class of 2026! ✨🎓

Today is a very proud day for Coláiste Fionnchua as we celebrate the superb Leaving Certificate results achieved by our Class of 2026.

🏆 We are delighted to celebrate an outstanding 625 points — the maximum possible result and two exceptional results of over 613 points.

The results achieved across the year are a wonderful reflection of the hard work, determination and resilience of our students, with results exceeding national averages in both the Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied.

These achievements are a testament to:
📚 The dedication, commitment and expertise of our teaching staff
🎓 The hard work and perseverance of our students
❤️ The encouragement and support provided by parents and guardians
🤝 The wider Coláiste Fionnchua community that supports our young people every step of the way

✨ Leaving Certificate 2026 Results Day ✨

Tomorrow, Friday 21st August, is a very special day as we welcome our Class of 2026 back to Coláiste Fionnchua to receive their Leaving Certificate results.

Printed results will be available from the school from 10.30am.

We are delighted to welcome our graduates and their families as we celebrate this important milestone.

We wish each all our graduates every success and happiness in the next chapter of their journey.

📱 FIRST YEAR iPAD DEPLOYMENT – WEDNESDAY 19TH AUGUST

Our First Year iPad deployment sessions will take place tomorrow Wednesday 19th August:

🔴 Group 1: 10:00am
⚫️ Group 2: 11:15am

Each deployment session will take approximately 50 minutes.

📧 An email has been sent to all parents/guardians confirming which group their son/daughter has been allocated to.

Parents do not need to attend the deployment session — students will be supported by school staff throughout the process.

We look forward to meeting our First Years tomorrow!
