We were delighted to welcome children’s author Alex Dunne to our school today.

She spoke to the children about the writing process, what it’s like to be an author and where she finds inspiration for her stories. The pupils really enjoyed hearing about her work and asked lots of thoughtful questions.

Alex also treated us to a lovely reading from her book and kindly signed a copy for the school.

A big thank you to Feargal from The Lahinch Bookshop for organising the visit and generously gifting the book to our school.

We feel very lucky to have had a real-life author visit us, a truly inspiring experience for our young readers and writers!

Congratulations to all the boys and girls in Second Class from Rockmount NS, Rineen NS and St. Joseph’s Miltown Malbay who made their First Holy Communion this weekend.

It was a very special occasion and a proud day for their families.

Our young engineers in 1st and 2nd Class had a fantastic day designing and building ramps to help a car successfully clear a 5cm gap!

Working collaboratively with Scoil Náisiúnta Rinnín, the pupils tested ideas, solved problems, and refined their designs through teamwork and creativity.

A great day of hands-on learning and fun, in collaboration with Clare Education Centre STEAM partnership.

There’s been great energy in the hall the past few weeks as our pupils get to grips with the Caledonian Set. They’re nearly able to do it “around the house and behind the dresser!” at this stage!

Plenty of concentration, lots of laughs and great progress already.
