Today, we were delighted to welcome our new First Years as they entered the halls of Loreto Community School and began an exciting new chapter in their educational journey. This is a very special day as they become part of our school community: a community built on respect, kindness, inclusion, learning and a shared commitment to helping every student reach their full potential. Over the next five or six years, we hope they will grow in confidence, discover new talents, form lasting friendships and embrace every opportunity that school life brings. A special thanks to our prefect team who were there to help our new students settle in. We wish all our new First Years every happiness and success for the years ahead. We look forward to watching them learn, grow and flourish as proud members of the Loreto Community.

A Wonderful Welcome to Our New First Years
Today, we were delighted to welcome our new first-year students to Loreto Community School Milford for their induction day. It was a lovely opportunity for our students to begin getting to know their new school community, meet some of their teachers, make new friends and become familiar with their new surroundings. Through a range of activities, they had the chance to ask questions, try out some practical experiences and meet the students in their new base classes. At Loreto Community School Milford, we are committed to fostering a welcoming, caring and inclusive community where every student is encouraged to grow, develop their talents and reach their full potential. Today was a wonderful first step on that journey. A sincere thank you to our dedicated teachers and wonderful prefect team for helping to make the day such a positive and memorable experience for our new students.
As our first years begin their Loreto journey in earnest this Friday, we wish each and every one of them every happiness, success and opportunity in the years ahead.
Welcome to Loreto Community School!

A Special Day for Our Class of 2026
Today was a memorable and special day for our Leaving Certificate Class of 2026 as they gathered together, enjoyed some light refreshments and took time to reflect on their achievements, friendships and the exciting journey that lies ahead. All Loreto Community School are incredibly proud of the young people they have become. We hope they carry with them the values of respect, courage, compassion, community and a commitment to making a positive difference wherever their next steps may lead. Congratulations to our student Jake Morgan, who started in goal for the Republic of Ireland boys Under-16s against Wales in their international friendly at Ruthin Town. While the result didn’t go Ireland’s way, this was a fantastic achievement and a very proud day for Jake.
The Boys in Green will have the opportunity to bounce back when the sides meet again this Thursday, August 20th.
