Swimmin Women at Midleton College – Summer 2026
‍️ Swimmin Women at Midleton College – Summer 2026
Midleton College is delighted to partner with Cork Sports Partnership and Swim Ireland to host the popular Swimmin Women Midlife Programme in our swimming pool this summer.
This fun, supportive four-week Aqua Aerobics and Swimming programme is designed specifically for women in midlife and aims to support participants through life’s milestones. You do not need to be a confident swimmer to take part.
Venue: Midleton College Outdoor Heated Swimming Pool
Tuesday Programme – starts 28 July
6.30–7.30 pm
7.30–8.30 pm
Friday Programme – starts 31 July
6.30–7.30 pm
7.30–8.30 pm
Each programme runs for four weeks. Participants will also receive a goodie bag including a swim hat and women’s health information, with specific resources on perimenopause and menopause.

Sports Day 2026
We were once again blessed with sunshine for our Sports Day on Friday, a wonderful way to mark the end of the school year. There was a fantastic turnout this year, and everyone enjoyed a great day filled with fun, activities and food. (lots more photos on the website)

All-Ireland Medallists
Congratulations to four of our students who represented the school at the All-Ireland Schools Athletics Championships in Tullamore at the weekend. Alison Guerin literally set the bar high with a silver medal performance in the Minor Girls Pole Vault. She secured a personal best, with a successful clearance of 2.65.
Hugh Cussen, pictured collecting his Athlete of the Year award at Sports Day, ventured to Offaly the following day. There he secured bronze in the Minor Boys long jump, again achieving a personal best 5.28. These are two exciting first-year athletes with bright futures ahead of them.
Congratulations must also go to JP Guerin, who finished 6th in the Intermediate Boys Long Jump (5.77), and to Fionn Loughnane, who finished 10th in the Intermediate Boys Steeplechase, having only recently moved to this event. For the school to have such representation at national level is a fantastic achievement. Well done to all!
