A Memorable Day for U14 Rugby at Virgin Media Par
The u14s had a great day out in Virgin Media Park today. It was the first time for many of the players playing a rugby match and to play on a pitch like this was a huge reward for the effort the team has already put in during training sessions. 16 players made up the squad and took on four other schools in a Munster rugby blitz showing great skills and passion throughout.
A big well done to John Murphy, the top try scorer of the day, Cillian Gorman, who showed great ability throughout the day for someone who was taking part in his first rugby games and to the player of the day, Cathal Delaney, who never stopped trying his hardest.
A special thank you to Jack Parkinson for the amazing photography skills too. Well done to the all the lads, the first of many rugby matches in the historic Midleton College Rugby colours.

Rugby: A Convincing Victory for JCT Team
The JCT got their first outing of the year off to an excellent start with a convincing 37–5 victory over Villiars. From the opening whistle, the lads played with great energy and intent. Bryan, Conor, and Ben were outstanding at 10,12 and 13, with all three making a huge contribution both sides of the ball.
There were plenty of strong performances throughout the team. Hugh Corcoran made some excellent carries in tight, while Harry showed a fantastic work rate at number 8. Rory looked dangerous in attack while proving rock solid at fullback.
The tries came from Bryan, Josh, Conor (2), and Ben (3), with Leo adding a conversion.
It was also a particularly memorable day for Zeke, Antonio, Jaime, Daniel, Gonzalo, Mike, and Marius, who all made their first appearances on a rugby pitch. Each player made a positive contribution, with Jaime standing out in particular and impressing on his first outing.

School Reunion Spanning 50 Years!
This year, we were delighted to have the largest number ever attending a school reunion, making the occasion particularly special. We were thrilled to welcome former students from the classes of 2016, 2006, 1996, 1986, 1976 and 1966, spanning an incredible fifty years of school life. We were also delighted to welcome past and present members of staff, along with many others who have been affiliated with the school over the years.
We hope everyone had a wonderful reunion and enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect, reminisce and celebrate the many friendships and memories formed through the school.
A sincere thanks to all who attended on the night, to Mr. Levis and everyone who helped with the organisation of this year’s reunion. It simply would not have been possible without the wonderful support, time and effort of so many people. (LOTS more pics on website)
