David Dwane Music

David Dwane Music But I will continue to help and support the music industry when I can, not just in Mayo, but across the country. Car parking is free.

I have been involved in the music business for over 40 years, as a piano and Leaving Cert music theory teacher, gig promoter, studio owner and music news writer. My studio closed in March 2020, after almost 20 years of producing some great music by talented singers and musicians from Mayo, Sligo and many other counties of Ireland. Read on for some information on what David Dwane Recording Studio a

chieved over the years since 2001:

"The studio offers an intimate recording setting, with top class microphones, Logic Pro X with multiple plug-ins, and Scarlett virtual mixing desk
"The value of a clean sound in a decent studio comes through...." says Jackie Hayden about David Dwane Recording Studio, writing in Hot Press Magazine
David Dwane has been the weekly Entertainment Columnist with the Western People newspaper - one of Ireland's best known regional newspapers, and the largest in the North West - for many years. He is a strong supporter of the live music industry, and a committed crusader towards providing new bands and artists with a platform for their talents. David will also be delighted to offer clients the benefit of his experience in the music business at national and local level. There is a shop, restaurant, hotel and bars within easy walking distance."

Glen Hansard was the co-writer of 'Revelate', one of the best rock songs ever to come out of this country, and a champion for the music industry in Ireland.
Glen was a true rock star who cared about social issues and, sadly, even died in a rock-star way like Marc Bolan and those others who were gone too young.
He was due to play in Sligo and Galway in October as part of a nationwide tour. A sad loss today for his family and millions of fans worldwide.

Front man of Polar Moon, Patrick Walshe, has carved out quite a career in the music business in the UK and USA since then, and returns to play in his hometown at a Music at Lunchtime show in Ballina Arts Centre next Wednesday, June 17.
