Moving to Ireland?

For many hospitality professionals, English is needed both inside and outside the workplace.

You might need English to:

• rent accommodation
• visit the doctor
• open a bank account
• understand official documents
• manage everyday conversations

That's why Foundation English for Hospitality isn't just about workplace communication.

It's also about helping learners build the English they need for daily life in Ireland while developing the language needed for hospitality work.

How improving your English can change your opportunities in the kitchen

It’s not just about knowing more English.

It’s about what happens during a shift.

For example:

• you understand instructions the first time
• you can respond more quickly when the kitchen is busy
• you can ask questions instead of guessing
• you communicate more clearly with your team
• you feel more involved in what’s happening around you

And over time, that can lead to more opportunities:

✨ more responsibility
✨ more trust in the kitchen
✨ stronger roles and progression

That’s the focus of everything I teach.

If this sounds like your situation, feel free to message me or start with the form in my bio

✨ Love Leftovers ✨

Rustic Aubergine, Broccoli & Sun-Dried Tomato Frittata 🍅

One of my favourite ways to use up leftover vegetables at the end of the week. Simple ingredients, big flavour, and perfect for lunch or dinner.

Crumble some feta over the top and pair with fresh bread or a simple salad. 🥗 🧀 🥖

Understanding isn’t the problem

You understand most of what’s said.

But when it’s your turn to respond —
that’s where it becomes difficult.

👉 when it’s fast
👉 when there’s pressure
👉 when people are waiting

This happens across hospitality — kitchens, cafés, hotels —
anywhere communication needs to be quick and clear.

It’s not about knowing more English.

It’s about being able to use it —
clearly, and in the moment.

That’s where things change.

• some people start with 1:1 preparation
• others move into small group Hospitality English courses

Everything starts with a short placement check.

A clear path makes all the difference

One of the most common things I hear is:
“I don’t know where to start.”

That’s why I use a simple, structured process with every person:

• a short interest form — so I understand your goals and experience
• a placement check — to assess your level properly
• a 1:1 Meet & Greet call — to go through your results and map out your next step
• the right programme for you — 1:1 or group, based on your level
• and finally, being able to respond clearly in real workplace situations

This means you’re not guessing.

You know:
👉 where you are
👉 what you need
👉 and what comes next

No pressure — just a clear starting point.

If you’ve ever said “Yes chef”… without fully understanding 👀

If you’re working in a kitchen and English feels harder than it should…

You might:
• understand most things — until it’s fast
• miss details when instructions come quickly
• pause before speaking to make sure it’s right

In busy kitchens, communication is quick and constant.
There’s no time to stop and think.

👉 The goal isn’t to know more English.
It’s to respond clearly in the moment — even under pressure.

How I work:

• Some learners start with 1:1 preparation to build a solid base for workplace English
• Others are ready to join a small group Hospitality English course

Everything starts with a short placement check — so you know exactly where to begin.
