Talking Hands with Tara My name is Tara McNally. I am an Irish Sign Language (ISL) teacher living and working in the West of Ireland.

This week Deaf people from all over the world celebrate "International Week of Deaf People 2021." In Ireland the Deaf community celebrate this week by hosting "Irish Sign Language Awareness Week". This is a very significant week for the Deaf community in Ireland including for many of the Deaf children I am so privileged to work with here in Mayo.

To celebrate this and to encourage more people to learn this beautiful language I will be hosting a FREE Irish Sign Language Beginners class on Thursday the 23rd of September over Zoom from 7:00pm – 8:00pm. Anyone is welcome to join!

If you would like to learn some of the basics in ISL you can message me through my Talking Hands with Tara facebook or instagram pages and I can add your name to the class list.

Places will be limited.
