Just letting you all know that we will be selling the 2019 edition of Milieu from 12pm - 2:30pm today in the Arts block. It is €4 a copy and has plenty of interesting geographical topics, written by your peers, that are riveting and may aid you in exams or just for fun.

We are also looking for students from first or second year who are interested in running the society for the next academic year. This is an incredible role for students who are enthusiastic about geography. The role is great fun and looks amazing on your CV. If you are interested please drop by us today in Arts or email

We are having our Milieu Launch and end of year AGM tomorrow. It will be from 2:30 - 3:30 in the Rocque Lab in Rhetoric House.
Milieu is the annual department magazine that is written by your peers. You can pick up your copy tomorrow at an excellent price of €4.
The AGM is a great opportunity for students to run for society positions for next year.

Hi Geography Society members,

I am contacting you as I am a final year Geography student, and in my final year I have a thesis to produce. As part of my research I am creating a survey based on my topic which is 'The Geographies of Online Gaming in Maynooth University'.

My survey is anonymous, fairly simple (as it is mostly tick the boxs) and isn't too time consuming (5-10 minutes). The link to the survey is attached below. I would appreciate if only PRESENT students (undergradute or postgraduate) would complete this.

Don’t forget about the Postgraduaute Roadshow event today at 4pm in the Rocque Lab.
It is a brilliant opportunity for students who are interested to learn about the courses that the Geography Department offer at postgraduaute level. There will be course directors along with current and former Postgraduate students who will provide information and answer any questions you may have.
