Friends of this page might be interested in this event, showcasing some of the findings from the post-excavation work on the artefacts and environmental remains from the remarkable wetland archaeological site at Moynagh Lough, Co. Meath. Excavations there were directed by the late John Bradley in the 1980s and 1990s.

The Moynagh Lough Conference will take place on 1-2 September 2022 at MU, bringing together archaeologists from Ireland and abroad

John Bradley is an archaeologist who works in the Department of History at NUI Maynooth. He has been a member of Kilkenny Chess Club since 1971.

I had intended on going through this and editing to just the bits with John, however I've listened to it a few times now, and it is a true case of show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are. The relationship with Eoin, Heather, Helen, George, Aideen and the rest is something to behold. For as long as the megaliths have stood the work and writings of these legends will be read by scholars.

Hi everybody, With John's months mind tomorrow I'm keen to find a recording of him singing the Archaeologists song. If anybody has a recording or can locate it on the internet could they put it up here. Ideally I'd like something happy to celebrate him on the page for tomorrow.
