Your kindness and commitment to our school community this year has been truly overwhelming, and our students will be enjoying this space for years to come.

And thatβs a wrap on the school year and summer programme 25/26! What a fantastic year it was, full of the highest highs a token few lows and a lot of fun and learning in between!
It was a hard day today saying goodbye to 7 wonderful students! It has been a privilege to watch you grow, learn, and flourish. We are so proud of all you have achieved and know you will be as loved in your next setting as you were in this one! You will all hold a special place in our hearts.
A huge thank you to our amazing staff for their dedication, care, and commitment throughout the year. Your hard work, kindness, and encouragement never go unnoticed. We hope you all enjoy the break!

Stepping Stones Special School invites applications for the position of Behaviour Practitioner -BCBA starting on the 1st of September 2026.
At present this is a full time position funded by a grant from the Department of Education and Skills. The successful applicant will be employed by the Board of Management of Stepping Stones Special School.
There are 42 pupils with a diagnosis of Autism and complex needs enrolled in the school. The BCBA acts as a member of the in-school management team providing support to pupils and staff using evidence based methodologies and strategies that enhance learning.
The Behaviour Practitioner reports directly to the school Principal and the Board of Management.
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
βοΈ Hold a BCBA certification
βοΈ Hold a masters level qualification in Behaviour Analysis or a related field.
βοΈ Have experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
βοΈ Have at least 5 years experience providing behaviour support to individuals aged 4-18 years of age with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
βοΈ Have an understanding of, and experience in Neurodiverse affirming practice.
βοΈ Have excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
