3rd/4th class have been enjoying lots of nice end of year activities in the last couple of weeks. They’ve made smoothies, chocolate biscuit cake, made some very creative clay pieces and been enjoying lots of outdoor activities too!

Special Classes 9 and 9b had the most amazing trip to Kennedy’s Pet Farm today. They were absolutely blessed with the weather, and the air conditioning on the Garda Bus that brought them. Thank you Garda John! They enjoyed petting all the animals, going on the fairy trail, exploring the playgrounds and some well earned ice cream! Thank you so much to the lovely staff there. What a way to finish a brilliant year!

It was a busy and active day in school today in the sun, with two big matches taking centre stage!

Firstly, the final of our World Cup Soccer Tournament took place. Congratulations to all the teams who participated over the past few weeks, showing great skill, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout. Pictured are today’s winning team, proudly receiving the Tony Gunning Perpetual Shield, which is presented annually to the tournament champions. 🏆⚽

Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, the much-anticipated Staff vs 6th Class match took place. In a fiercely competitive encounter, there were plenty of goals, great saves and lots of excitement. After the staff emerged victorious in normal time, the boys of 6th Class had the final say by winning the penalty shootout! We’ll call it a draw. 🤝⚽

🎉Garden Tea Party Friday 12th June 10-1 🎉

Over the past few years, the 6th Class Garden Party has helped the school purchase running singlets, PE equipment, and other valuable resources. This year, we hope to use the proceeds to install a new main sign for the school. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

🏫 Great to be back at St Patrick’s BNS, Mallow, today to meet with the 6th Class students and answer their questions! 😊

📚 As a past pupil, it’s always a special occasion to return to the school that played such an important role in my early years.

🙌I was also delighted to support the school’s Special Class unit by funding a new trampoline, which will be a fantastic resource for the students and bring plenty of fun and enjoyment for years to come.

Seeing the excellent work being done by the staff, and the bright future ahead for these young people was great!
