Today we bid a fond farewell to our wonderful 6th Class as they complete their journey at Analeentha. It has been a privilege to watch them grow, learn, and flourish over the past eight years. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and have no doubt that they will go on to accomplish great things. As they begin this exciting new chapter in secondary school, we wish them every success and happiness. Remember, the doors of Analeentha will always be open to you. Best of luck, 6th Class – your future is bright! 😍✨🍀

Unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side today, but that certainly didn't stop us from enjoying our annual Sports Day! 🌧️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The children had a fantastic day taking part in a variety of fun and alternative races, with plenty of laughter, excitement, and great sportsmanship throughout.

The day finished with the much-anticipated Teachers' Race, which, as always, was carefully planned and organised by our 6th Class. Let's just say it was definitely not for the faint-hearted! 😅

After a fiercely contested race, today's champion was Mr. Brennan 🏆. Congratulations! We'll all be ready for the rematch next June! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We have had so much fun this year focusing on Music as part of our School Self-Evaluation. One of our main goals was to bring the whole school together through singing, and throughout the year we have learned and enjoyed many songs as a school community.

Today, we held our final whole-school singing gathering and performed three special songs:

🎵 Do-Re-Mi from The Sound of Music – sung to show Con how proud we are of his role in The Sound of Music at The Opera House this summer.

🎵 Schoolyard Days by Amble – dedicated to our wonderful 6th Class as they prepare to move on to the next chapter of their journey.

🎵 Somewhere Only We Know by Keane – a fitting and enjoyable way to finish our final gathering together.

It was a lovely occasion and a wonderful way to celebrate all the music, memories, and friendships we have shared throughout the year. ❤️🎶

Today, our 5th and 6th Class pupils enjoyed some special time playing games with their buddies. It was lovely to see everyone interacting so naturally and to witness the strong bonds that have formed throughout the year. Our younger pupils were so comfortable and happy in the company of their older friends. There will no doubt be a few sad faces tomorrow as they say goodbye to their wonderful 6th Class buddies ❤️

Today, we set off in great spirits and glorious sunshine for our walk along An Bóthar Glas. Equipped with our hi-vis vests and surrounded by friends, we enjoyed a wonderful day outdoors.

The children from 3rd to 6th Class walked as far as Teampailín, where they took a well-earned break and enjoyed their lunch in the fresh air. Meanwhile, our Junior Infants to 2nd Class pupils completed a shorter route, taking in the beautiful riverside scenery and appreciating all that nature has to offer.

It was a fantastic day of exercise, friendship, and outdoor learning. We can only imagine there were a few tired legs and early bedtimes this evening! ☀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️🌿🍃

We had a great day today with Cathal from School Fitness Ireland. All classes got to get outside and enjoy gymnastics and a fun fitness class. A great way to spend a day during our Active Schools Week. We're off to 'An Bóthar Glas' in the morning. Fingers crossed for some sunshine 🌞
