The Cottage Kids Playschool

The Cottage Kids Playschool Multi award winners of ECI'S Learning Story awards 2012/13. National Innovation Award Winner '13 AND

The Cottage Kids Preschool was set up in 1997 by Mandy Corcoran. The preschool is a purpose built preschool set in a country environment, yet only 1/2 mile from Lusk Village/ Raheny Roundabout. We run a play based curriculum informed by Aistear the early years curriculum, which follows emergent interests of the children and our curriculum is flexible to take into account each child's learning need

s and styles. We operate two sessions one in the morning and one in the afternoon. We run the ECCE scheme which provides two years of free preschool to 3 and 4 year olds and details of our optional extras can be found here:https://www.ncs.gov.ie/en/childcare-search/ as well as our school calendar.

What a fun first half of our first term in preschool with both our morning and afternoon groups we have had involving all types of active play- sensory, messy, role play, table top, storytelling, active outdoor learning, engaging with nature, arts and crafts and yoga to name but a few and all the while developing new skills, practising lots of motor skills and learning in a fun environment and forming wonderful relationships and trust!

We are looking forward to getting back at it on Monday!
