Bush Post Primary Secondary School in Cooley Peninsula. LMETB's Registration Charity Number (RCN) is CHY 20927

We are located in the heart of the beautiful Cooley Peninsula and pride ourselves in providing a broad curriculum, encompassing formal academic programmes, personal development programmes and a wide range of extra-curricular activities. We are very fortunate to have a truly dedicated teaching staff who work tirelessly to provide excellence in the education of our students and as a learning community, our students continue to enjoy tremendous successes, not only academically, but in areas such as art, debating, sport, community involvements, and science. Our school facilities are the envy of many with our specialist learning rooms, our gymnasium and our fantastic running track. Our aim is to create a stimulating learning environment in which young people are able to develop the full range of their talents and abilities in a balanced integrated way.

The first year students competed in the Leinster Schools Multi Event in the National Indoor Sports Arena, Dublin. Students competed in shot put, long jump, 60m hurdles and 800m sprint.

On Friday last eight second and third year students took part in a photography project in conjunction with Louth Libraries.

Louth libraries have recently purchased a postcard collection from Noel Ross with photos from a century ago. Noel Ross was a noted Co. Louth historian. The photos are of different places across Co. Louth. Eight students from Bush Post Primary school were asked to take photos of various locations in Carlingford with a phone. The places that were chosen were the exact same places where the photos had been taken a hundred years previously. Louth Libraries provided a photographer who helped the students with composition and perspective.

A huge thanks to James Matthews the photographer and Sarah Mc Allister Librarian with Louth Libraries and Celia Mc Parland Librarian in Carlingford for inviting the students to be a part of this project and for all their help and assistance on the day.

The girls had a fantastic day out playing lots of rugby and it is clear that the future of rugby in Bush is very bright....

The girls had a fantastic day out playing lots of rugby and it is clear that the future of rugby in Bush is very bright. Our Junior team started with a tough 2—15 loss to Ashbourne but they showed great spirit by fighting back from 15 points down in the second half with tries by Hannah Grills, Daisy Caldwell and Aisling Mc Garrity. They bounced back immediately with a convincing win over CNHL Navy. Their final match against St. Louis was an absolute battle that finished in a massive 45- 30 win with tries from Ellie Joe Behan, Aisling Mc Garrity, Hannah Grills, Tara Mc Nulty, Olivia Daly, Daisy Caldwell and Poppy Mulligan.
To top off a great day, our Senior girls also had a great day out, winning one game and drawing the other. A huge congratulations to all our players.
