Fr Kieran will be greatly missed, Good news tonight re Fr. Pat appointed to continue the good work locally.

This morning Bishop Michael appointed Fr Pat Conroy PP Ballinakill and Derrybrien to minister simultaneously as Parish Priest of Woodford and Looscaun effective 31 August 2026.

Our sincere thanks to Father Pat for his generosity in accepting this new additional ministry. May God bless him into the future.

Our thanks also to Fr Kieran O Rourke for his many years of dedicated service to the Parish of Woodford and Looscaun. We pray God's blessing on him as he takes up his new responsibilities as Parish Priest of Eyrecourt, Meelick and Clonfert, Parish Priest of Lusmagh, Rector of the Shrine of Our Lady of Clonfert and Episcopal Chaplain to Emmanuel House of Providence.

Tractor Run - Bank Holiday Sunday.

Don't forget the Tractor run this Sunday morning. One of the biggest tractor runs annually in this part of the country. There's a great hour or two pre run from 10 on as the participants assemble up near the school. Well worth a visit.
Charity Buckets there also on the day.

A great sight for all to see so many Vintage Tractors and Cars gathered in one place.

Remember though what the day has always been about and that is Charity to a very good local cause. This year the proceeds are going to 'Patient Comfort Fund' Dialysis , Merlin Park Hospital. So if you cant make it on the day , make sure to see the organisers in the next few days, thats: Anthony Hooban , Paul Tuohy or Mark Hooban ( numbers on poster ) to pass on a donation, large or small all welcome and for a very good cause.

There will be a farewell Mass to Fr. Kieran O'Rourke in Woodford Church on Sunday 30th August followed by a community gathering and refreshments in the Youth Club Hall.
