For anybody looking for singing lessons .. Martina Flaherty will be delivering the singing lessons and vocal program. Martina has a wealth of knowledge both professionally as a singer songwriter and from her 16 years as a voice coach.

Martina has studied Speech level singing , CoreSinging, Modern Vocal, Voice analysis and Frequency Therapy, Sound and Voice Therapy, Voice and trauma therapy and Fitzmaurice voicework and is currently doing a
BA in Popular Music ,She is a member of EVTA SHA and CMA.

Hello everyone,
Welcome to this weeks Friday showcase! This week, we have student Conor who recently received a distinction in his Electric Guitar Grade 2 exam. This was our preparation for his guitar solo component. During this part of the exam, marks are awarded for:
• Scale use
• Accuracy
• Fluency
• Phrasing and melodic shaping
• Stylistic interpretation
• Inventiveness and creativity
• Clarity and tone production
• Application of specialist techniques (.e. bending, sliding, hammer ons etc)

Conor also decided to show the examiner the following techniques:
• Chord voicing positions
• Unison bending
• Wide interval fretting accuracy
• Utilisation of different pickups
• Harmonics

Friday Showcase! Today I would like to share with you a piece that I'm working on with grade 7 acoustic student Jeevan. This is a beautiful performance piece written by Andy Wilson called 'Eternal Way'. For this piece Jeevan is tuned to DADGAD normally a more popular tuning for trad guitar, although this is not a trad arrangement! The challenges in this piece is to ensure the melody rings out clearly over the accompaniment. It also needs a high level of accuracy, fluency and clarity. I'm particulary happy with Jeevans ability to convey the emotion of this melody. We are well on our Eternal Way!! Kieran - Guitar Tutor 086 8173201
