🌟 Welcome Back, 6th Year Group! 🌟

We’re thrilled to see all of you back! A special thank you to Ms. Hayden, our dedicated 6th Year Head, for leading today’s assembly to warmly welcome everyone and discuss the exciting year ahead.

Today, students had the opportunity to engage in St. Mel’s College’s longstanding mentoring program, brilliantly supported by our fantastic guidance counselors, Ms. Concar and Mr. Lyng. This program pairs each student with a teacher mentor, providing a valuable space to discuss schoolwork, study strategies, and any challenges you might face. The focus is on SMART goals—Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.

Today, our new group of St. Mel’s College First year students embarked on their wonderful journey in second-level school!

They were warmly welcomed by our dedicated staff, including Principal Mr. Flanagan and Year Head Mr. O’Connell, who kicked off the day with an inspiring assembly.

The boys had the chance to meet their new classmates, teachers and our the school, and engage in sports activities with our PE department and lead tutors.

What a magnificent start to their educational adventure! Well done to all! As we look forward to this exciting term, let’s remember: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” — Nelson Mandela. Together, we can achieve great things!
