Longford Pony Club was established in 1980 under the long reigning partnership of Harold McGahern and Sam Murphy. The Pony Club is a world wide, voluntary youth organisation, founded seventy five years ago to:Encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding.To provide instruction in riding and horsemanship, and to instill in members the prope

r care of their animals.To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self-discipline.

💙💛Great day for Longford members in Tubberbride yesterday. Excellent rounds of jumping from all members!
In the 1m class we had Joanne McDonnell and Evelyn Murray with both qualifying. Evelyn 5th and Joanne 6th 👏👏

In the 90’s we had Sinead McKeon and Evelyn Murray qualifying with Evelyn in 5th place and Sinead 6th place. Jennifer Drake narrowly missed out on qualifying with an excellent round of jumping 👏👏

In the 80’s classic we had Andrew Murray, Ellie Connell and Sean Manning. Andrew and Ellie both qualified with Andrew 3rd and Ellie 6th. Sean Manning had an excellent double clear round of jumping and in typical Sean style was smiling the whole way round 😀👏👏

In non qualifier classes Jennifer Drake jumped a double clear in the 80’s and Riona Drake a double clear in the 60’s 👏👏

Huge well done to everyone and best of luck to those competing in the final on Sunday 💙💛🍀🍀

Good morning all, Members & Parents

‼️Attention serious amounts of fun pending‼️

You’re invited to our *End of Season Summer Festival* to celebrate the fantastic year we’re having 🐴

*When:* Sunday 6th September
*Where:* Loural Lodge, Kenagh
*Cost:* _‼️€15 per member‼️

We have a *fun-filled day planned* for you all:

- *Show Jumping* course with live commentary on the day

- After a short break, *a run around the *cross country*
course *

- *Short hack* to finish
- And a *very special surprise* waiting for everyone when we get back.

😁It’s going to be a fabulous day of riding,making memories and a surprise‼️ We have 3 fantastic instructors lined up and what a way to end our wonderful summer coaching program ☀️🐴👌
