The National Council for Special Education (NCSE) is asking parents and guardians to complete the Parents Notify online form by 1 September 2026.

⚠️Please note: Completing the Parents Notify form is not an application to a school. You must still apply directly to the school(s) you wish your child to attend.
The information you provide helps the NCSE plan and provide appropriate Special Class and Special School places where they are needed.

Schools Cross Country

The Co. Longford Primary Schools Cross Country takes place on Friday 18 September at Moyne CS with the first of four races at 6.15pm:

- 3rd / 4th class girls 800m
- 3rd / 4th class boys 800m
- 5th / 6th class girls 1000m
- 5th / 6th class boys 1000m

Schools are requested to complete their registration sheets and have money collected for one representative (teacher or parent) to hand in at the registration desk in the PE hall.

Registration begins at 5.15 pm with an entry fee of €3 per child.

Medals will be awarded to the first 12 finishers in each race, as well as the top 3 teams in each, who will all earn qualification to the Connacht Primary Schools finals also taking place at Moyne on Saturday 3 October.

Our 5th class pupils completed the 'Abbott Future Well Kids Programme' recently. This healthy lifestyle science programme is taught by Abbott employees who visited the school over a number of weeks. Thank you to the employees from Abbott Longford for giving their time to teach this Programme.
