Glenribbeen Music School Glenribbeen Music School is run by Peter O'Connor from his home in Co Waterford. Music school for traditional Irish music. and S.C.T. (senior-level).

Peter teaches Irish traditional music (mostly - some Baroque too on violin/fiddle, mandolin, concertina, whistle and guitar. Our school of music is affilliated to Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann and run by Peter O'Connor T.T.C.T. Peter O’Connor is the son of Rose O’Connor a music teacher for 40 years and teacher of (amongst other winners) back to back All Ireland Senior Fiddle Champions in 1999 and 2

000. All ages and levels catered for. Peter has played fiddle since 1993 and the music school has been running since 1998

The Epitaph of Seikilo is thought to be the world’s oldest surviving notated musical composition.

Originally inscribed on a marble column between the first and second centuries CE, it was rediscovered in the late 19th century by a railway engineer, in what is now Turkey. He gave it to his wife to use as a flowerpot pedestal.
