Peter Dee Academy of Music

Peter Dee Academy of Music Established in 1972. The Academy caters for all music genres, under the guidance of renowned composer/musician & former student Denis Carey.

The Academy has been, since its inception, considered one of the premier music education centres in the country. The students range from absolute beginners to advanced levels, covering all musical genres and instruments. Exams can be taken but are in no way compulsory. The Academy's student base is made up for a wonderful mix of young children right up to senior citizens, proving that age is never an obstacle to learning a musical instrument.

🎶 LAST CALL for YOUNG MUSICIANS across Limerick to create an exciting surround-sound experience in the Lime Tree Theatre this Sunday to Tuesday (outside school hours) 🎶

Its your final chance to sign up for a once off unique 3-day music project with Ireland's leading percussion ensemble Bangers and Crash Percussion and renowned composer Brian Irvine. The event will take place at the Lime Tree Theatre, Limerick, from Sunday 15th to Tuesday 17th September (outside school hours). Join fellow young musicians in workshops and rehearsals, culminating in an exciting concert on Tuesday evening!

This exceptional opportunity to collaborate with some of Ireland's leading musicians has been kindly supported by the Arts The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon, Limerick Arts Office and RTE Supporting the Arts.
