Scoil Mhuire would like to lend its support to the St. Nessan’s NS fundraiser for Jill, David, Fionn and Cillian Cregg a much loved and respected family in our school community facing the challenge of living with Motor Neuron Disease (MND).

🛰🚀👨‍🚀🌌Space Week 2026 was a blast in 3rd! The children did a Curipod lesson on the history of space exploration, learned about climate change, global warming and the greenhouse effect, built greenhouse gas models from jelly tots, built and tested their own rockets and analysed data on their flight paths, and took part in a space themed table quiz! 🚀🌌👨‍🚀🛰

Second Class went on a walk to Pallaskenry Community Hall, which was build in 1886, as part of our Local History studies. It was fantastic to step outside the classroom and explore an important part of our community.

Many thanks to Sarsfield Rugby Club who called out to us in June and gave a masterclass in tag rugby. During their visit we presented them with a donation from the Money raised during the Lenten Campaign towards the Lynch Cup which they organise every year in honour of their teammate. Sarsfields are the only inclusive Rugby team in the Southwest and we’d like to wish them luck Grand Marshalling Limerick Pride parade this weekend and in the Lynch Cup later in the summer 🏉🌈🏉🌈
