Almost 350 delegates from 51 countries came together at the University of Limerick from 26–29 July for the World Finance Conference 2026, hosted by Darren Shannon and the Kemmy Business School.

Supported by Fáilte Ireland, the conference welcomed finance professionals, academics, and policymakers from around the world to share cutting-edge research, exchange ideas, and discuss the future of global finance.
The event further strengthened Ireland—and Limerick in particular—as a destination for international finance research, while creating valuable opportunities for collaboration and new global connections.

We were proud that UL Events at the University of Limerick Conference & Sports Campus served as the professional conference organiser for this prestigious international gathering.

It was a pleasure to welcome the Up with People International Alumni Association (UWPIAA) back to Ireland as another annual Alumni Week got underway.

The opening event at The Stables, University of Limerick, brought together more than 400 guests from around the world to experience the very best of Irish culture, with traditional music, dancing and a special surprise appearance from Fiadh Irish Wolfhounds.

Over the coming days, hundreds of former cast and crew will explore Limerick and the wider region through cultural excursions, traditional pub sessions and visits to some of Ireland’s best-known attractions, including King John’s Castle.

Congratulations to the organising team, led by Mary McCullough, whose dedication has made Alumni Week in Ireland such a success over the past three editions. We are proud to welcome everyone to our campus and hope they enjoy a memorable stay in Limerick.

🌈 Proud to celebrate Limerick Pride 2026! 🌈

Our Business Development Executive, Aisling Condon, was delighted to attend the launch of Limerick Pride 2026 at the Hunt Museum last night.

This year’s festival celebrates the strength, resilience, and achievements of Limerick’s LGBTQ+ community, while highlighting the importance of inclusion, visibility, and community spirit.

As we celebrate Pride in Limerick, we also look ahead to an exciting milestone for Ireland with the arrival of EuroPride 2028. This landmark event will provide an incredible opportunity to showcase Limerick’s commitment to equality, diversity, and belonging on an international stage.
We are especially proud that the University of Limerick will host the Human Rights Conference as part of EuroPride 2028 and has also been selected as the Pride Village.
