The presentation highlighted Griffith College's academic offerings, the opportunities available to learners, and the value of choosing Griffith College as a pathway to career success. It also opened up discussions on how education and industry can continue to work together to develop talent and support regional growth.

Our highlights video captures the Cambodia mobility leg of the BMC Sustainable Tourism Innovation Challenge, organised by the National University of Management, where Griffith College MSc in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality Management students collaborated with students from across Cambodia to develop innovative solutions for the future of sustainable tourism. 🌏🌱

Throughout this incredible experience, students immersed themselves in Cambodia's rich culture, explored remarkable destinations, collaborated across borders, exchanged ideas, and built friendships that will last a lifetime. 🤝

From the warm welcome in Phnom Penh to the exciting Grand Final and Awards Dinner, every moment showcased the power of international collaboration, experiential learning, and the impact that young innovators can make when they work together.

We couldn't be prouder of all five teams for their creativity, professionalism, and commitment to sustainable tourism, and we extend our congratulations once again to Open Em on winning the Champion's Trophy. 🏆👏

A sincere thank you to the National University of Management, Vice-Rector Assoc. Prof. Stephen Paterson, the NUM Social Innovation Lab team, the dedicated student volunteers, and everyone who made this remarkable experience possible. What an incredible way to conclude the BMC Sustainable Tourism Innovation Challenge with a memorable Awards Dinner!

This initiative has been a wonderful testament to the power of international collaboration, bringing together students from Cambodia and Ireland to tackle one of the world's most important challenges: developing innovative ideas for sustainable tourism.

The creativity, passion, and professionalism demonstrated by all five teams were truly inspiring. The future is certainly bright for these talented students: congratulations to every team for your outstanding achievements!
A special congratulations to Open Em, winners of the Champion's Trophy and Gold Medal. Well done also to Dynam2C, winners of the Silver Medal, and Claymore, winners of the Bronze Medal.

We were deeply honoured that the Awards Dinner was presided over by H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport of Cambodia.

Our global Griffith College students also had the opportunity to meet Mr. Ronan Cunniffe, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Ireland in Vietnam, and exchange experiences about studying in Ireland, as well as the valuable support provided by Irish embassies for international students. 🇮🇪

From an unforgettable week together in Ireland to an equally inspiring week in Cambodia, both filled with meaningful ecotourism experiences, learning, cultural exchange, and new friendships: this has been a journey that will stay with all of us for years to come.

🌏 Did someone say challenge? Our students are more than ready! 💪

Five students from our MSc in Sustainable Tourism have embarked on an incredible journey in 🇰🇭 Cambodia, where they are teaming up with Cambodian students to compete in the BMC Sustainable Tourism Innovation Challenge, organised by the National University of Management (NUM) in Phnom Penh.

Following a fantastic week together in Limerick with the Cambodian students, everyone reunited today in Phnom Penh to kick off the next stage of their collaboration. 🤝

The experience began with a fascinating tour of Phnom Penh, followed by a wonderful welcome dinner where friendships, ideas, and ambitions continued to grow. ✨

Over the coming weeks, the teams will travel across Cambodia, exploring breathtaking destinations while working together to develop innovative and sustainable tourism solutions.

From Cambodia to Limerick 🌍✨

A fantastic week at Griffith College Limerick for the BMC Sustainable Tourism Innovation Challenge, delivered in collaboration with the National University of Management, Phnom Penh, led by Stephen Paterson, and supported by the Irish Embassy in Cambodia.

Students explored sustainable tourism through real-world learning, local culture, heritage sites, industry insights, and community experiences across Limerick and beyond.

From Adare Village, and the Locke Bar, to the Cliffs of Moher, and opportunities to hear from John Moran, Mayor of Limerick, and Donnacha Hurley, CEO of Limerick Chamber, this week highlighted how tourism connects people, places, culture, and local businesses.
