An exciting week lies ahead as we get ready to begin a brand-new year at Naíonra na nÓg! 🍎

We can’t wait to welcome back all our returning boys and girls and hear about their wonderful summer adventures, stories and memories. ☀️

We’re also so excited to open our doors to all our páistí nua and their families. We hope your first days with us are filled with smiles, new friendships, lots of fun and plenty of special memories. 🥰

Ag tosnú sa Naíonra.🥰

As children prepare for the aistriú chuig an scoil (transition to school), everyday conversations and experiences offer natural opportunities to introduce and enjoy Gaeilge.

Our Ag Dul ar Scoil series shares simple focail agus frásaí (words and phrases) that educators and families can use when talking with children about school, mothúcháin (feelings), what might be in the mála scoile, and the new experiences ahead.

Start small, use what you know, and weave beagán Gaeilge into meaningful, playful interactions throughout the day.

Gaeilge ar slí nádúrtha, simplí agus spraíúil.
(Irish in a natural, simple and fun way.)

Meet Our Inclusion Coordinators (INCOs) 💜

At Naíonra na nÓg, we are proud to have a number of trained Inclusion Coordinators (INCOs) who work together to ensure every child feels welcomed, valued and supported to reach their full potential. Yvonne, Sasha and Maria are our current LINC graduates, with Mary due to commence her training shortly.

Our INCOs work closely with educators, families and outside professionals to promote inclusive practice, support children with additional needs, coordinate the Access and Inclusion Model (AIM), and help create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

The poster below provides a brief overview of the important role our INCOs play in supporting children, families and staff every day. We are committed to working in partnership with parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child. 💚
We are always available to talk to our families and support you in anyway possible to ensure your child’s inclusion.❤️

As another wonderful year comes to an end at Naíonra na nÓg, it’s time to say slán to some very special páistí and families as they begin their next adventure in primary school. ❤️
Every child has brought something unique to our naíonra, and it has been a privilege to be part of their early years journey.
Go n-éirí an bóthar libh to all of our páistí moving on. We are so proud of each and every one of you. Remember to keep singing, smiling and using your Gaeilge wherever you go.
To our families, go raibh míle maith agaibh for your trust, support and kindness throughout the year. The friendships, memories and sense of community we share make Naíonra na nÓg such a special place.

Bhí seachtain iontach spóirt againn! 🏉⚽🏅
What a fantastic Sports Week we had here at Naíonra na nÓg! Our páistí had great fun taking part in a variety of activities throughout the week, including egg and spoon races, sack races, rugby, soccer and energetic Zumba sessions with Darren Nash.🌟 (Míle buíochas Darren)
Bhí an-spraoi ag na páistí agus léirigh siad scileanna iontacha, obair foirne agus spiorad spóirt den scoth. We definitely spotted plenty of future sports stars in the making! ⭐
To finish our wonderful week, we held a special medal presentation to celebrate everyone’s efforts and achievements. 🥇🏅 Maith sibh go léir!
We also completed our Big Toddle for Barnardos, raising lots of money for this wonderful charity. Go raibh míle maith agaibh to all our families for your generosity and support. ❤️ The final amount raised will be announced later this week.
Táimid fíorbhródúil as na páistí go léir. Thank you for helping to make Sports Week such a memorable and enjoyable week for everyone. 🎉
