What a lovely morning celebrating our Busy Bees Graduates of 2026! 🎓🐝

Today was a very special day as we marked the end of an important chapter and celebrated all that our graduates have achieved. We are so proud of each and every one of them for their growth, kindness, friendships, confidence and learning throughout their time with us.

Thank you to all our wonderful families for your support and for sharing this special milestone with us. Watching our little Busy Bees spread their wings and get ready for primary school is always emotional and rewarding.

Well done, Graduates! Viv, Denise & Eva wish you every happiness and success in your next adventure. 🌟🐝🎓

🐝 A Proud Day for Busy Bees Preschool

Today I had the opportunity to speak in Leinster House on behalf of ECCE providers regarding the impact commercial rates will have on small preschool services like Busy Bees.

💛 25 years serving children and families in our community
💛 Spoke about the rising costs facing small ECCE providers, including rates, insurance, utilities and compliance costs
💛 Highlighted how these increasing costs are making it difficult for small community-based services to remain sustainable
💛 Emphasised the importance of protecting local preschool services for children and families
💛 Stood alongside passionate early years educators from across Ireland to ensure our voices were heard

Thank you to all our Busy Bees families, past and present, for your continued support. Your trust and encouragement mean so much.

Together, we will continue to advocate for quality early years education and for the future of small community preschools.

🐝🌼 World Bee Day at Busy Bees Preschool 🌼🐝

Today we celebrated World Bee Day with lots of fun activities, crafts and learning 🐝💛

The children enjoyed:
🍯 Making beautiful bee hat
🌸 Learning how bees help flowers grow
🎨 Painting and sensory activities/tasting honey 🍯
🐝 Singing bee rhymes
🌼 Buzzing around like busy little bees

We talked about how important bees are for nature and how they help our gardens and flowers bloom 🌷🌻

Bee facts we learned today:
🐝 Bees can recognise human faces!
🐝 Bees have 6 legs 🦵
🐝Bees have 5 eyes 👀
🐝Queen Bees are the boss
🐝A Bees wings 🪽 flap about 200 times every second

The children had a wonderful day full of fun, learning and laughter 💛🐝

⚽️ What an exciting day we had at preschool today ⚽️

We were delighted to welcome Sean, who is Blake’s dad, to visit us and share his knowledge and experience as a coach with the Shelbourne FC Women team in the League of Ireland. The children were so excited to meet him and take part in all the fun activities and soccer drills.

Through the games and activities the children learned so many important skills including teamwork, communication, coordination and confidence. It was wonderful to see everyone encouraging each other, listening carefully and trying their very best while having lots of fun staying active.

To finish off our session we played a very competitive Students v Teachers match… and the students came out on top with an amazing score of 5 goals to 3! ⚽️⚽️ Well done everyone!

A huge thank you to Sean for taking the time to come and visit us today. The children had a fantastic time and loved every minute. ⚽️🐝😊
