As a PT you do not hold all the answers. Also, your clients are not absolved from all personal responsibility for their own actions.

However as the coach you do need to lay out the terms of engagement from the beginning when it comes to the PT/client relationship.
That should mean a collaboration.

Set out the expectations, the intentions, and the responsibilities of both parties.

Of course the PT sets out ‘the plan’. However each client is unique and different. This is where the skill of your coaching comes into play. Lead the client, guide the client, encourage and inspire the client.

The reality is that when your client achieves their goals or improves from a previous situation, they have gotten there through an increased awareness and an open and honest collaboration from both of you.

This is the 🔑
