O’Connell Avenue Campus is located in the heart of Limerick City. Further information on this service can be found here.

We offer an exciting range of part-time Further Education and Training courses both at the campus and at various community partner locations. Day-time classes are offered Monday to Friday and evening classes run on a part-time basis on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Our offering ranges from non-accredited courses up to QQI Level 6 Major Awards and is aimed at those wishing to return to educatio

n, to up-skill or to develop new skills. The campus also offers Youthreach, which gives 15 to 20-year olds a second chance to achieve a first-class education. Information and guidance are available at our Information Hub to support you to make informed choices on education, training, career and employment. Our experienced and friendly team are here to help you make the right choice to Find The Best In You.

Today in OCAC our hearts are heavy as we say farewell to a dear colleague - Jessie Laffan.

Jessie has been here in OCAC the last 3 years as our Active Inclusion Support Service (AISS) officer. Many of you will have known her as the lady who ran the Learning Hub, keeping it active and bustling with activities, support and always a welcoming environment.

Jessie has always been a kind, welcoming presence in our campus and would donate herself time and again to helping learners in need, particularly those learners who would be in need of learning and disability supports, and lets not forget the multiple laptops and devices she's had to dole out to those in need as well!!!

Jessie is moving on to pastures new in Dublin City University, and will be taking up a role there as a Disability Officer...DCU will be all the better for having hired you, Jessie, just as OCAC has been made better by having you here.

From all of the staff here in O' Connell Avenue Campus, we want to wish the very best of fortune in your future endeavors Jessie, and to say thank you for all of your hard work and dedication during your time here in OCAC, you will be missed.

Delighted to join our colleagues from LCETB Head Office recently for a very informative day’s training on NZEB Fundamentals

at the College of FET NZEB Centre of Excellence, Limerick to learn about near zero energy building principles and practices

including a practical session on airtightness. With thanks to Martin Cournane and his team for a great day’s training.

🌿 A Lovely Day Out for ESOL Learners! 🌿
Eithne and her ESOL class enjoyed a fantastic trip to Curraghchase and Adare. It was a wonderful opportunity for learners to put into practice all that they’ve been working on in class while exploring two beautiful local spots.
Great fun, great learning, and great company all around! 👏
