Day 5- Active Schools Week….. all children continued to participate in a variety of activities. We welcomed back Eadaoin Lyons to St.Anne’s who delivers Pilates classes to whole school, some of our classes visited Rathkeale Boxing Club where Joe & Peter delivered boxing classes, children engaged in uni-hoc, obstacle courses, walking etc 🏒🏒🥅🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏼‍♂️🥊🥊

Day 4 - Active Schools Week
All the children thoroughly enjoyed alll their activities today in the beautiful sunshine . They engaged in Just Dance, Walk a Mile, Unihoc,Obstacle courses,Walks on the Greenway, Dodgeball tournament led by 5th class girls etc 🚲🚴🚴‍♀️🏒🥅🏒🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏼‍♂️💃🏼🕺🏼

Day 3 of Active Schools Week - all the children enjoyed a fabulous day in Rathkeale AFC for Sports Day. Children participated in tug o’ war, sack races, egg & spoon, running races,penalty shoot out, obstacle course, exercise workouts, camogie, 3 legged races etc. 🌞🌞🌞🌞

Active schools Week 2026
Active Schools Week from Friday 12th to Thursday 18th June. Since Friday pupils have engaged in a variety of activities such as walk a mile, skipping, uni-hoc, obstacle course, water safety talks with lifeguards,yoga , gym class, kick ball rounders etc

Yesterday, 4th class attended Rathkeale Library for the exciting launch of their collaborative book, 'Rocky's Journey.'

This project, titled Three Schools, One Story involved students from St. Anne's, St. Joseph's and Church Street collaborating with author Celina Buckley to create the story line and illustrations for their book.

Call into Rathkeale Library over the month of June to see their work displayed. The students all got their own copy of the book, signed by all of the authors!
