We are pleased to launch our fundraising appeal for the opening of Stella Maris Secondary School this September.

As our first pupils grow, and younger children continue to join, it has become clear that the next step is necessary: the opening of Stella Maris Secondary School. To make this possible, we are seeking support to help meet the essential start-up costs of establishing the school.

As we conclude the month of May, the month of Our Lady, we give thanks for the many blessings received throughout these past weeks.

A particular highlight of the month was our school tour to Ardee, where we enjoyed an overnight stay with the Sister Adorers of the Royal Heart of Jesus Christ, Sovereign Priest.

We were honoured by a visit from Monsignor Wach, accompanied by Canon Lebocq. We were also delighted to welcome the Sisters of Mercy of Alma, Michigan, during which the pupils had the opportunity to participate in a question-and-answer session about religious life. This month, the pupils also began weekly sewing classes under the guidance of Mrs. Rice, a wonderful new addition to our timetable.

Making the most of the beautiful weather, several lessons, including Music and Science, were held in the park. The pupils have also enjoyed learning about the lives and virtues of the saints, with particular attention given to young saints who are great examples of faith and holiness.

Alongside these activities, the pupils continued their studies in Mathematics, English, Irish, Catechism, Art, Geography, History, P.E, Gregorian Chant, French, Latin, and Church History.

We look forward to all that June will bring as we enjoy the final weeks of the school year before the summer holidays.

Here are some photos from our recent school tour and overnight stay with the Sister Adorers of the Royal Heart of Jesus Christ, Sovereign Priest, in Ardee, Co. Louth.

The visit included baking, gardening and colouring with the sisters, a walking Rosary through the beautiful gardens, Vespers, Benediction, Compline and Holy Mass, along with plenty of laughter, fun and treats throughout our stay.

Stella Maris Primary School Open Day! 📚

Stella Maris is a traditional Catholic primary school in the heart of Co. Limerick, which has recently been entrusted to the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priests.

This open day is an opportunity to meet our teachers, learn about our ethos, and gain insight into our classical approach to education, grounded in Catholic values. There will also be a discussion and Q&A on our proposed pilot secondary school.

This coming Saturday! Join Stella Maris Primary School to celebrate our patron saint, St. Patrick! 🇮🇪
